Contests at the Fair

Marion County Fair Art Contest!
Hosted by the Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Foundation
“If any flame could burn forever, it would be our own. As bright as a star, as light as a feather,
we’ll never be alone.” ~ Kathryn Thurgaland
In times of grief or strife it’s easy to feel isolated and alone, but as you look around, it’s during
these times you realize you’re not the only one. Others know the grief; have experienced the
hardships. Through the darkness you become more aware and appreciative of the magical
moments held in nature that help connect you with the ones you love, on this side and the other,
who support you with love to help keep you from falling. In short, you realize you’re not alone.
This year’s theme is “Not Alone”
Not only is this an opportunity to win ribbons and prizes, it’s also a great way to share your talent with a
larger community.
